Overnight boarding is $50 per night, per dog and includes an individual 4' x 4' kennel, raised cot-style bed, fresh water, feeding according to your dog's regular schedule, outdoor time and activities, individual attention, and plenty of opportunities to stretch their legs throughout the day.
Our facility features heated flooring and air conditioning for year-round comfort, along with calming music during rest and downtime.
-
Absolutely not! Kennels provide each dog with their own safe, comfortable space for sleeping, eating, resting, and decompressing between activities.
Throughout the day, dogs receive outdoor time, potty breaks, activities, attention, and exercise based on their individual needs and comfort level. We believe downtime is just as important as activity, especially in a boarding environment where dogs are experiencing new sights, sounds, smells, people, and routines.
-
Potentially, but group play is never guaranteed.
Safety comes first. Dogs may be introduced to carefully selected dogs with similar temperaments, play styles, energy levels, and demeanors when our team determines that it is appropriate.
Some dogs simply don't enjoy playing with unfamiliar dogs—and that's okay! Dogs who aren't appropriate for group interaction can still have a great stay filled with individual attention, outdoor time, activities, and enrichment.
-
No, your dog does not need to be friendly or social with other dogs to stay with us. We understand that every dog is different, and some dogs simply prefer their own space.
However, we require complete transparency regarding your dog's behavior around other animals. Any known reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, previous altercations, or other behavioral concerns must be disclosed prior to your dog's stay. This allows our team to safely manage your dog, make appropriate accommodations, and determine whether interaction with other dogs should be avoided entirely.
When it comes to people, dogs staying with Five Tails must be safe for our team to handle. Because we have staff members as well as children on the property, we are unable to accept dogs who present a bite risk toward people. Unfortunately, dogs with a known history of biting people cannot be accommodated at our facility.
Our priority is creating a safe environment for every dog and person on our property. Being upfront about your dog's behavior doesn't mean they need to be perfect—it simply helps us determine whether Five Tails is the right and safest boarding environment for them.

Our $30 Day Boarding service is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and is specifically intended for new clients interested in future overnight boarding.
Think of it as a trial day! It allows your dog to meet our team, experience our facility and routine, and become familiar with the environment before spending the night. It also gives us an opportunity to learn more about your dog's personality, kennel behavior, handling tolerance, and individual needs.
Day Boarding is not traditional doggy daycare and does not guarantee group play.
-
Absolutely! We provide a minimum of one update per day, including at least one photo or video of your dog each day.
Whenever possible, we love to share even more! Updates may include information about your dog's meals and appetite, attitude, daily routine, outdoor time, activities, behavior, and how they're settling into their stay.
While our first priority throughout the day is always caring for the dogs, we know how important it is to have peace of mind while you're away.
You're also always welcome to reach out to us during your dog's stay with any questions or concerns. We're happy to let you know how your pup is doing!

For the health and safety of the dogs in our care, all boarding guests are required to be current on:
Rabies
Bordetella
Parvovirus
Distemper
Flea & tick prevention
If your dog is not already current on their Bordetella vaccination, it must be administered at least 72 hours prior to drop-off.
Please keep in mind that Five Tails is located on approximately 70 acres with access to grassy and wooded areas. Because of our environment, appropriate flea and tick prevention is required and is not optional.
Even with preventative treatment, no product or facility can guarantee that a dog will never encounter a flea or tick. By boarding with us, owners acknowledge that outdoor activities naturally carry some risk of exposure, including the possibility of flea or tick bites.
-
Please bring enough of your dog's regular food for their entire reservation. Keeping dogs on their normal diet can help minimize unnecessary stomach upset while they're adjusting to a different environment.
Whenever possible, we strongly recommend pre-portioning your dog's food according to their normal daily meals rather than bringing large or bulky bags of food. Please clearly label everything with your dog's name and provide us with their normal feeding instructions.
You're also welcome to bring:
A familiar blanket or reasonably sized bed, provided your dog is not known to chew, shred, or destroy bedding
Treats that your dog is accustomed to and tolerates well
Any necessary approved medications with complete instructions
Please leave toys, valuable items, sentimental belongings, and anything irreplaceable at home. Boarding can sometimes bring out behaviors dogs don't normally display at home, including chewing or shredding. We cannot guarantee that personal belongings will not become damaged, so please only send items you are comfortable potentially having damaged or soiled.

Your dog's health, safety, and well-being are among our highest priorities. We take extensive care to maintain a clean, safe, and appropriately managed boarding environment. Kennels are cleaned daily and disinfected regularly, waste is promptly removed and properly disposed of, and our facility and grounds are routinely maintained.
However, boarding does not eliminate the normal risks associated with caring for animals. We cannot guarantee that a dog will never become sick, experience an upset stomach, sustain an injury, develop a contagious illness, or experience another unexpected medical issue while in our care.
Dogs are living, active animals. Even with appropriate supervision and safety precautions, injuries can occur during normal activities such as running, playing, jumping, exploring outdoors, entering or exiting a kennel, or simply interacting with their environment. Similarly, illness can occur despite appropriate cleaning, vaccination requirements, sanitation, and preventative measures.
If we notice anything concerning, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you immediately and keep you informed.
Five Tails has an established relationship with a local veterinary office and access to emergency veterinary services when necessary. Owners are also required to provide an emergency contact.
If an urgent situation occurs and we are unable to reach you or your emergency contact, you authorize Five Tails Boarding Co. to make reasonable, time-sensitive decisions regarding veterinary evaluation and treatment when we believe doing so is necessary to protect your dog's health or safety.
All veterinary, emergency, medication, transportation, treatment, and other medical expenses incurred on behalf of your dog remain the financial responsibility of the dog's owner. Five Tails acts as your dog's temporary caregiver during their reservation; ownership and financial responsibility for veterinary care remain with you.
We care for every dog entrusted to us as though they were part of our own family, and if something doesn't seem right, we would much rather communicate with you and seek appropriate veterinary guidance than wait.

We do not have staff physically on the premises overnight.
Our normal staffed hours are approximately 6:00 AM–10:00 PM, allowing us to provide care from early morning through the dogs' final evening routines.
During overnight hours, dogs rest securely in their individual kennels and are monitored through 24/7 indoor video surveillance. We also maintain video surveillance of outdoor areas.
Our facility is additionally equipped with temperature monitoring and alerts, allowing us to be immediately notified of significant changes in the kennel area's temperature.
This setup allows the dogs to have a quiet, uninterrupted period of rest overnight while still providing us with monitoring and safeguards when staff are not physically inside the facility.
-
To keep our daily routine predictable and minimize interruptions for the dogs in our care, drop-offs and pick-ups are available during designated appointment times:
8:30 AM
1:00 PM
6:30 PMDrop-off and pick-up times must be arranged in advance as part of your reservation.
Having designated arrival and departure times allows our team to properly plan feeding, outdoor rotations, cleaning, activities, and individual care while reducing unnecessary disruptions throughout the day.
If you anticipate being late or your travel plans change, please contact us as soon as possible so we can determine the best available option.
-
To maintain our high standards for safety, comfort, and quality of care, not every dog will automatically be a fit for our boarding environment. We want every pup staying with us to have a safe and enjoyable experience!

Be friendly and safely manageable with people
Successfully complete our First Day Boarding evaluation
Be in overall good health and free from contagious illness
Be free of fleas and ticks
Be free of open wounds, active incisions, or stitches

We reserve the right to determine whether our boarding environment is appropriate for an individual dog based on their health, temperament, behavior, and overall comfort within our facility.
-
No! We do not require dogs to be spayed or neutered in order to board with us.
However, spaying or neutering may be recommended based on your individual dog's age, health, lifestyle, and your veterinarian's guidance. As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are capable of reproducing, and hormonal changes can sometimes influence behavior or create tension within a group environment.
Intact dogs may require additional management or separation from certain dogs during their stay. Females actively in heat cannot participate in group activities and may be subject to additional restrictions or accommodations.
We always recommend discussing the appropriate timing of spaying or neutering with your personal veterinarian.
-
Absolutely! We love having puppies stay with us. 🐾 Puppies must be at least 4 months old, meet our vaccination requirements, weigh at least 10 lbs., and meet our general boarding requirements.
Because puppies are still developing socially and emotionally, we take their age, confidence, energy level, and individual needs into consideration throughout their stay.
-
Yes! Whether you're heading out for a weekend, taking a family vacation, traveling for work, or planning an extended trip, we're happy to discuss longer stays.
For extended boarding reservations, we recommend booking as early as possible—especially during the summer and around major holidays.
-
A holiday surcharge may apply to reservations that include designated holidays or peak holiday periods due to increased demand and additional staffing and care requirements.
Any applicable holiday pricing will be disclosed as part of your reservation.
-
In many cases, yes. We can accommodate many routine oral or topical medications when clear instructions are provided.
Please disclose all medications and medical conditions prior to your dog's stay. Certain medical needs may require veterinary boarding or a higher level of medical supervision than we can safely provide.
